29.            LANDMINE

We keep to a treaty
And they walk and talked softly
As the big dogs play dotty
When we spot the countryside.
For those which hide
Their undiscriminating goods
Under the treason of truce.
We can farm with landmines
For the global community
Because we are fearful
The private sector ends up
With the demining ploy,
The loss of life and limb.
Let those who plant mines
Play the cost of those lives
And as their bonus their removal
And as a special,
Hire the ground they play on.
