13.            LABOUR

Man is born to labour
and so must his neighbour
each of us commit the hour
for the hero’s corner.

Yet labour is not life
as for freedom we strife
and productivity takes
with its abstract knife
our individual life.

It is not that labour is personal
where we can be professional,
is its infestation not cordial
and our needs formal,
being basical
than just social
and presentational?
