10.            FINDING FRIENDS

I came back to an empty home
And my liberty had no friends
As I sit down and made lists
Where to seek out acquaintances
From old friends, family and places.
My family and friends estranged me
It is not for my social comfort
It was mere for what do you want?
Yet some where there and some responded,
I found new friends in social places
I would listen to them over a drink
As my pipe signal out my suffering.
They did not care about schizophrenia
They cared to relax and share word.
Yet they would not invite me home
And nor would I open my mind
So our safety zone was mutual
For in my mind I was free
To dictate love’s poems
And their homes was free
Of heated debates of morals
So the truth was set free
And new friends were found.
